Highlights from NETWORKSHOP  - Hungary's Premier IT Conference

This year marked the 33rd edition of NETWORKSHOP (NWS), Hungary's most prestigious IT conference for the higher education, public education, research and public collections sectors. The conference was held in Eger, at the Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, with nearly 300 participants in attendance. The conference was held over 3 days, with presentations on the DNS4EU project featured on the second day, during session 6, which focused on topics related to the broader issue of digital transformation.

Ernő Rigó's (HUN-REN SZTAKI/HunCERT) presentation focused on the domestic aspects of the DNS4EU project and SZTAKI's role in it. The presentation began with describing the current Hungarian landscape highlighting the NIS2 Directive, followed by the description of the DNS4EU architecture and Security Design of the system.


Continuing the series of presentations was George Buhai representing Whalebone, whose captivating insights shed light on the fundamental principles of the DNS4EU project and its implications for public institutions. George Buhai initiated his presentation with a concise overview of the DNS4EU project, outlining the roles and duties of consortium members. He then proceeded to explore the pivotal role of Threat Intelligence within the project's framework, emphasising its criticality in fortifying digital infrastructures against ever-evolving cyber threats.
