As of 2026, DNS4EU is fully owned and operated by Whalebone, a European cybersecurity firm specializing exclusively in DNS security.

The Evolution of DNS4EU

As the initial DNS4EU project phase completes, public sector services transition seamlessly into DNS4GOV - operating on the exact same sovereign European infrastructure and under the same strict rules.

Meanwhile, The DNS4EU Public Service stays free and open to individuals in Europe - operating as a separate, privacy-first service with quality and uptime guaranteed by Whalebone.
